Maternity Session: Katy Phillips

We love kids, families, and of course babies here at It's A Phillips Thing; so it should not be surprising when we get a little carried away. As we continue to play the catch up game, we wanted to be sure to include some of our maternity shots from earlier this year (Ezra's hospital and newborn pictures will be coming soon).

We are so excited. Children are so close to our hearts and we are thrilled to be having another one. We also love photography so we love that we get to combine two of our greatest loves into this session: our family and our photography. Moments like these are special, and we love to capture them on camera; because, hey, it's a Phillips thing.

Birth Announcement: Ali and Misty Shamsher

Ali and Misty have been long time friends of ours. We knew them in college, watched them fall in love, get married, have a baby... and now baby two! Again, we are still playing catchup with some of our favorite sessions on the new site; this session took place back in November of 2014.

Their son is one of our daughter's buddies. Any time they come to visit she is just ecstactic to see him. Now he's going to be a big brother (just like Karis is going to be a big sister!). Ali and Misty are super excited, and so is their little boy. Don't take my word for it, take a look:

Themed Shoot: Alice in Wonderland

Since the launch of our website, I am going to be playing catch up on the past couple of shoots we have done. And I have to start with one of my favorites: David and Brianna in Alice in Wonderland.

I absolutely love doing themed shoots. This is a shoot we did back in October with some very good friends. They did their own makeup (and is available for makeup work for your shoot).
Anyway, this was so much fun. David and Brianna are vibrant, expressive and are so creative! The themed shoot is something they have been doing every year, and we were so glad to be a part of it this past year.

The theme is Alice in Wonderland, with David and Brianna as the Mad Hatter and Alice, respectively. Here are couple of my favorites from the session:
